Sub ohm tanks are not the easiest type of tank to use with vaping which means that they are not for everyone.

Many who try a sub ohm tank fall in love but there are still a small amount who do not prefer this style of vaping.

One of the great things about sub ohm tanks is that they feature replaceable and rebuildable (for most) coil heads.

This means that you can replace them when something goes wrong.

Sub ohm tanks can be vaped at less than 1 ohm resistance. The most common coil resistance is .5 ohms but it can be as low as .2 ohms.

If you want to be able to use the coils at this level you have to make sure that you are choosing a mod that is going to work at that level.

I have the Smok Gimlet. I really like the tank. That along with the Atlantis are probably the most trouble free tanks I have, except for the issue of not being able to find replacement coils for the Smok Gimlet. It is very frustrating when you spend money on a tank to then be let down by the manufacturer who decides not to continue providing the accessories you need to make it useful. I will not buy Smok products again because they do not support what they sell. I also have a Smoke Vct Pro which is virtually useless because of the difficulty finding coils.

  3. Mary says:

if you have a melo 2 just add a vaporesso ccell coil and your tank will take a new life

  4. Kimberly Tracy says:

Kinda new to vaping…I have an Eleaf IStick 50, I am currently using the Melo2 tank on it, I am fairly satisfied with it, but would like more flavor, any suggestions on coils or possibly a different tank?

    • Anthony Khrist says:

I own several of the best tanks out there and I will only use two. One is the tfv4, and the one you should without a doubt use specifically for a istick40, is an aspire Cleito. The flavor profile is far better than anything on this list without a doubt. At only 40 watts, this tank will deliver so much flavor that you can Cleary taste it on your lips. It is way better than a Herakles or anything else listed here when it comes to flavor. It’s also cheap, ringing in at around 20$-25$.

      • Anthony Khrist says:

Istick50 I mean. You can cape this tank perfectly at 40-50 watts.

      • verasvapes says:

Cleito, as this person mentioned, definitely worth mentioning. The .2 Ohm coil is rated to 70 watts and has no difficulty at 80 watts. Kudos for mentioning the Melo as I am not sure if I have had better flavor on a tank. Not to mention, I saw it somewhere on Internet today for as little as $13. Pairba subtank Nano with an eGo one and you have a near perfect stealth piece, btw. Both share the same diameter .
