0HCigar Nemesis Mod Review
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and we can only hope that this is how the people who brought you the Atmomixani Nemesis feel because it’s one of the most cloned devices out there.
We are looking at the HCigar Nemesis clone, a hugely popular mechanical mod that has a ton of awesome features and benefits.
In this Nemesis Mod review, we’ll check out all of what it has to offer.
The Hcigar Nemesis Mechanical Mod (Clone) is the latest creation in the closest 1:1 ratio replica allowing parts to be interchangeable with the original mod.
The stainless steel mod is designed with 3 battery tube extensions to use with different sized batteries.
A laser etched engraving is present with individualized serial numbers and logos, while the bottom button has a unique switch that enables you to easily fire and maintain a comfortable grip in your hand.
When locking the firing button, the battery vent holes are concealed and the top cap ring allows having an adjustable air flow for maximum efficiency.
Nemesis Specs at a Glance
- Adjustable airflow
- Fire button locking ring
- 510 connection
- Copper contact pins
- Fully adjustable
- Fits 18350, 18490/18500, and 18650 batteries
Plenty of Features
One of the main things that makes the Nemesis Mod so sought after is that it’s not only compact but it’s versatile as well.
The size is about the same as an 18650 battery. If you have a smaller atomizer attached, that’s pretty tiny so it’s perfect for stealth carrying.
The versatility is quite impressive as well. Everything on the mod is adjustable which makes it a dream when it comes to making it fit your needs.
For instance, there are two adjustable air flow holes on the Nemesis’ top cap. These can be adjusted to both holes open, one hole open and one hole closed, or even both air holes closed.
This allows you to create the kind of draw you like best – airy and full or a smaller, tighter draw.
This is the perfect mod for those who are new to mechanical mods because it allows you to set it up the way you want and allows you to experiment with it.

Product Description – Just the Basics, Please
The main tube on the Nemesis mod features the Nemesis logo engraved on the 100% stainless steel body. It comes with an individual serial number engraved as well so it looks authentic and classy.
The HCigar Nemesis comes with three battery tubes so that you can change the length of your mod without effort.
You can also use different sizes of batteries and you don’t have to buy anything extra since the tubes allow you to make changes. The sizes you can use are 18350, 18500, and 18650.
The bottom of the Hcigar Nemesis has a button that fits ergonomically in your hand and makes it easy to fire.
However, some have stated that the switch is very odd feeling and not easy to use, contrary to what it lists as.
It has a locking feature that can be collapsed by tightening the locking ring all the way and the top cap airflow ring allows you to adjust the airflow as mentioned above with both holes open, one hole open and one hole closed, or even both air holes closed.
This allows you to create the kind of draw you like best – airy and full or a smaller, tighter draw.
Similar Mods to the Nemesis
Of course the Nemesis is unique but here are some mods that are somewhat similar to it just so you get an idea of what it’s like.
- Hammer Mechanical Mod. The Hammer features chromed brass construction, laser engraved logo on body, brass contacts, a white plastic insulator, a top spring-loaded firing switch, a reverse threaded locking ring, 6 bottom vent holes, a recessed 510 connection (compatible with any device with a 510 threaded connector), and houses a single 18350 battery (batteries sold separately). This full mechanical mod contains no circuit boards to fault, a common cause for many a ruined vaping experience.
- Phoenix XIII Spear Mechanical Mod. The Phoenix XIII Spear Mechanical Mod is a limited version of the Phoenix XIII. This thing is an awesome, well crafted and designed tube mod that definitely gets the job done. It comes compatible with any 18650 battery, 510 threading, it’s stainless steel CNC machined, and has a spring loaded contact pin.
Atomizers to Use on the Nemesis
Here are a few atomizers that others bought to go along with the Nemesis and you might find complimentary as well.
- Magma RDA Clone. The Magma V2 RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) clone by Infinite is a uniquely designed unit available with brass, copper, or stainless steel rings. The 22mm diameter makes it easy to sit flush with your existing device, the dome chamber top cap allows a channeling for better juice flavor, and the extended juice basin can offer up to 40 drops of liquid with minimal risk of leakage. Two poles are welded for reinforced durability, while the 3mm measurements of each pole provides easy rebuild for a better conductivity. The dual “direct to coil” air hole creates outstanding efficiency in juice flavor and vapor production and the various air hole sized selection enables different vapor draw outcome. Finally, the positive insulator is hidden to reduce the risk of melting and the o-ring-less design makes it easier on maintenance.
- Stillare Atomizer Clone. The rebuidable dripping atomizer is made from a stainless steel material, has three posts which are gold plated as well as the screws. The 22mm diameter and 510 threading connection allows to sit flushed with most mechanical mods or devices to provide superior vapor production. The cyclops style slots defines the adjustability for your air hole and each Stillare atomizer is equipped with an engraved logo and individually numbered.
Safety First
If you’ve never used a mechanical device, its not difficult but you need to understand that you’re vaping right off of the raw battery power.
So there’s no boosting the wattage or voltage like you can do on something like the Vamo. This simply means you’ll want to be conscious of the resistance of your atomizer.
Here are a few safety tips to keep in mind when using mechanical devices:
- Locks are Important. Always make sure that there is a lock for the firing pin/button. The most common are those that are reverse threaded and require an unscrew to lock the firing pin/button. You don’t want to fall asleep with your mod firing continuously anyway.
- Air Holes. Check your mod for air-holes. While there aren’t any batteries in the mod, blow into it from the connection end. Make sure you do this with the firing pin both in the locked and unlocked positions. Air holes (aka vents) are incredibly important in letting gases escape your mod if the battery is compromised.
- Batteries. Make sure your batteries aren’t overcharged or undercharged by checking their volts. If you run them too low repeatedly their life is shortened and they’ll eventually be unusable. They have shortened life, way too low and they are toast. Check your coil resistance often. If you draw too many amps from your battery, you will have a serious safety issue. Always be aware of the mod’s temperature during use. Any part of it heating up is an issue that needs to be resolved, or it can become serious.
Pros and Cons
The Hcigar Nemesis has a lot of pros and a few cons, as with any device on the market.
The good thing is that this clone is affordable and has plenty of features that you’ll love like the compact size, the adjustable parts including the air holes that can be set to your needs, the stainless steel construction, and serialized numbers with an engraved logo.
The one issue many have is the firing button. For many, it has a crunchy feel to it instead of a nice, clicky feel.
Another issue that some had was that it wasn’t the easiest to set up.
Some people even stated they had to watch a YouTube video, and while we all love getting lost in the YouTube wormhole, you want to be vaping while you’re watching, not having to watch just to vape.
