What’s So Special About the Joyetech eVic VT?
While you’re probably familiar with temperature controls in the DNA 40 deVices such as the Vapor Flask or Vapor Shark. In the Joyetech eVic VT, titanium and nickel coils are used to create a vaping experience like no other.
There is a 0.4ohm resistance in the titanium coils and a 0.2ohm resistance in the nickel coils. Your choice depends on what you like personally but it isn’t really a “one is better than the other” situation at all.
Each provides a vape that is pleasing, flavor filled, and really adequate enough to please just about every vaper.
You can definitely create huge vapor with the 100% organic cotton and improved resistance and ohm accuracy due to the gold plated connector.
The variable temperature system (VT) gives you a darn near perfect experience in vaping and at the same time you get less E Juice consumption which is a major added bonus.
Along with that, you use less battery because the device can easily sustain in high temperature but with much lower wattage.
With the Joyetech eVic-VT you can choose between four coil heads, (CL coil heads, CLR coil heads, Nickel coil heads and Titanium coil heads) two of which can be used in the variable temperature mode, the Nickel and Titanium.
Joyetech has included one Nickel coil head installed in the tank and one Titanium coil in reserve.
In order to use the variable temperature feature you’ll need to use either the new nickel or titanium coil heads, not a traditional eGo ONE CL/CLR head.
These are easy to find and not a specialty item that is difficult to get whenever you need it.
Both the nickel and titanium coil heads can be found wherever the Joyetech Evic Mod is sold as well.
How to Use the eVic-VT
This Joyetech Evic-vt review shows step by step how to set up your Evic-VT.
In VW mode output wattage can be adjusted from 1W to 60W by turning the control knob, right to increase, and left to decrease.
Holding the control knob to the right or left will make the wattage setting rapidly increase or decrease.
The control knob is a really smooth action wheel so it’s easy just to flick it to change the settings and to get to the menu, just click the firing button five times.
Simply charge the Joyetech Evic mod by connecting it with a computer or a wall adapter via USB cable. It takes 6 hours to be fully charged.
When Charging in device-on condition, the battery sign flashes. When it is fully charged, the battery sign disappears.
To change the atomizer head, unscrew the atomizer base from the tank. Then unscrew the atomizer head and remove from the atomizer base.
Screw the new atomizer head into the atomizer base and firmly tighten.
Refit the atomizer base into the tank and connect the assembled atomizer to the battery and the eVic-VT is ready to use.
A couple of things to note:
For Kanthal wire with resistance range 0.25-1.0 ohm, the maximum output wattage on screen is 60W.
For Kanthal Wire with resistance range 0.15-0.24 ohm, the actual maximum output wattage will be limited to be 50-55W to ensure safer operation.
What’s Comes in the Box?
The full kit comes with the following:
- 1 x eVic-VT
- 1 x eGo ONE mega atomizer (with CL-Ni 0.2ohm head)
- 1 x CL-Ti head (0.4ohm)
- 1 x USB Cable
- 1 x eVic-VT Skin
- 1 x Wall Adapter (1A)
How Does it Look?
The Joyetech eVic VT comes in three sharp colors – Dazzling White, Racing Yellow, and Cool Black.
Each color has stripes such as the Dazzling White has a blue stripe, Racing Yellow has a black stripe, and Cool Black has a red stripe.
The look is classy, sharp, and just has a little something extra to make it look more unique – not to mention the high gloss finish that really stands out and creates a look of high tech sophistication.
It comes with a silicone sleeve but personally, we like it better without.
It fits well but the vents do work better without, although this is a minor difference.
The OLED display is really nice too. The eVic-VT visual display includes:
- VT-Ti mode/VT-Ni mode/VW
- Wattage and voltage
- Atomizer resistance
- Battery power, number of puffs, and time
You can clear the number of puffs and time by long pressing the fire button in case you want to do that.
One thing that is unique is that the OLED is vertical instead of the usual horizontal.
This makes it easier to read while sitting on a desk or in your hand and it’s a really neat effect and surprisingly innovative.
Surprisingly, because no one really uses the OLED display that way but why not?
Besides, how can you check out a stranger’s settings if it’s sideways unless you tilt your head?
Okay, that was just a little bad humor but seriously, this is a cool feature.
The firing button is pretty well placed and has that tactile feel that you’ll love and everything works seamlessly.
Battery Power
The eVic-VT uses a 5000mAh capacity (LiPo) and you can expect charging time to take around six hours and for you to get about the same amount of vaping time if using Kanthal coils.
You should get more time when using the nickel or titanium coil heads however.
Final Thoughts
The eVic VT from Joyetech is quite impressive.
Not only does it look slick and sleek but with the ability to create your own personal vaping experience with all of the options available makes it just a little more unique than the rest.
On top of that, not only do you get a longer battery life but you get more juice out of this mod.
Again, the main benefit is that you can tailor it to fit your preferences.
The variable temperature really hits a home run and this is a great thing for those of you who like to mix things up or want the ability to pretty much choose your own taste and cloud production with the use of different coils.
For everything you get with this kit, it’s a fair price and comes in at under $100. It’s a gorgeous (or classy if you like that word better) mod and seriously, the features are spectacular.
Just remember to never use nickel (Ni200) wire in regular variable wattage/voltage mode. Only use it in temperature control mode.
