0SMOK RPM80 & RPM80 Pro Kit Review
Once again, SMOK is making a splash in the vaping ecosystem by recently releasing their newest vape pod mods, the RPM80 and RPM80 Pro, the successor of the SMOK RPM40 series.
We’re in the process of writing our complete review (stay tuned!), in the meantime here’s a breakdown of the specs that SMOK has outline for these new products.
RPM80 Specs and Details
They have a square, angular design that’s not only comfortable but quite stylish. With 7 different colors available anyone is going to find look their going for. They stepped up their UI as well, with a .96 inch vivid color display that looks great and is a snap to use.
With a max wattage output of 80W using the new IQ-80 chip set, the RPM80 and RPM80 Pro pack enough punch for even the most avid vapers.
They both can use either the RPM Pod or the RGC Pod. The RPM Pod is SMOK’s go to standard that is backwards compatiable with their previous hardware offerings, while the RGC Pod offers an expanded feature of adjustable airflow using a handy ring at the bottom.
So what’s the difference between the RPM80 and RPM80 Pro?
Simply put, the RPM80 has a built in battery of 3000mAh, while the RPM80 Pro uses a single rechargeable 18650 battery.
3000mAh is a lot of capacity, and the RPM 80 boasts an impressive recharge rate. However if you’re an avid vaper, having removable 18650 batteries is very convenient since you can charge backups and have them ready to go whenever you need them.
The RPM80 and RPM80 Pro are available as kits, which include the mod itself, as well as 1 RPM80 RPM Pod at .4 ohms and 1 RPM80 RGC Pod at .7 ohms (.17 ohms for the Pro version.)
