0Vapemod X-Tank 4.0 Review | Vape Box Mod Review
There are a few things that you should know when you start reading any Vapemod X-Tank 4.0 Review. This tank is really unique in that it actually holds a massive 10 ml of e-liquid.
When most tanks on the market hold 3 ml that means this tank is one that is perfect for serious vapers or just for those lazy vapers that hate filling their tanks all of the time.
What’s New – Vapemod X-Tank 4.0
The first thing that I noticed when I saw the Vapemod X-Tank 4.0 was the very unique style and design. This tank doesn’t really look like any other tank that you see on the market.
The reason for the odd shape is to make the reserve large enough to actually hold the full 10 ml of e-liquid. Most tanks are shaped like a cylinder but this tank is shaped completely different.
There are actually three different sizes of coils that come with the tank and can be used with this tank.
You can choose between the 0.6 ohm and 0.2 ohm Kanthal coils. You can also use the 0.2 Ni200 coils which are quickly becoming popular among vapers.
The coils that are in the tank can actually be replaced by the Aspire Atlantis coils which are more readily available.
This is nice to know if you are one of those people who are trying to find something that is going to be readily available locally.
One exciting fact that you might not know is that there are plans to release a RBA version of this tank in the near future. If you prefer a RBA, you might want to wait until that one is released before making an investment in this tank.
Also, be sure to check with your vendor to see if they have the newest version of this tank.
The newer version has fixed some airflow issues that the older version had, so you want to make sure that you get the tank that is going to work better for you.
I tried using this tank with a variety of different mods that I own. Some of the mods with the display OLED screen on top were a bit trickier to use because the tank blocked the OLED screen.
So make sure that you think about the mods that you have and which ones are available. I attempted vaping at a variety of different wattage settings to see what the tank was like.
Here are some of my personal notes on the vaping experiences that I had.
When I started vaping, I was using a 50 W setting. At this setting I noticed that I was able to get nice clouds but that the flavor was not really what I was looking for. I knew from other tanks that the flavor could have been improved.
I was able to get a nice cool vape at 50 watts. When I increased the wattage to 60 W, I found that the vaping experience remained cool.
I was able to get quite a bit more flavor than what I had before. Plus, I was able to get much bigger clouds. It was crazy how much the vaping experience could improve with just 10 W more of power.
At 70 W I was able to get amazing flavor profiles. This was fun with some of my favorite blends because you can really taste what the e-liquid companies were going for.
The vapor was nice and warm at this setting. It was a comfortable warmth and nothing that I was unhappy with. It also had amazing clouds of vapor.
When I increased the level to 80 W of power. It was becoming much warmer. I was still able to get the full delicious flavor as well.
I then tried 90 W of power and while it got warmer, it was not too warm for my comfort. This experience was fully delicious and there were no dry hits at all.
There were also very large clouds and a very delicious flavor that came through, even though it was warmer than what I usually personally vape at.
As you are using the tank and it starts to empty, there are some things that you should be aware of.
One of these is that you want to make sure that the tank is not tilted in a way that is going to leave the coil uncovered.
If you do this, then you should know that you could end up experiencing an uncomfortable dry hit.

Final Thoughts – Vapemod X-Tank 4.0
Pros
There are many things that you are going to fall in love with when it comes to the Vapemod X-Tank 4.0. The tank has a full 10 ml capacity.
This is actually the reason that many people end up buying the Vapemod X-Tank, they fall in love with the capacity size of the tank.
This is a great tank if you like to sub ohm vape because you are able to have more with e-liquid that does not run out.
Sub ohm vaping tends to drain tanks quickly so having a tank with this much capacity makes the experience much better.
Another thing that I really like about this tank is that you can swap out Atlantis coils.
This is nice because nearly every small vaping shop that I go into has these coils available. It means that I never have to wait on a coil to arrive and that I can just go pick one up if needed.
I love this about the tank because so many times I have run out of something and needed coils that were not available where I lived.
This has led to things like having to order coils and wait for them to arrive. This is an experience that I simply will not have again when I am using this tank.
Of course, there are some additional things that you can fall in love with. I fell in love with the vaping experience. I was able to have superior flavor, huge clouds, and an overall enjoyable experience with a cooler hit.
This was nice for me because I really love a nice cool vaping experience and have found that many times I am not able to get the flavor that I want at the temperature that I want.
When it comes to the Vapemod X-Tank I did not have any issues with leaking. I did shake it around, threw it in a bag, and did a few other things and overall no real leaking.
I did notice after throwing it in a bag that there were a few spots where it obviously leaked a small amount, but it was nothing that I noticed otherwise.
This is great to know if you hate leaks as much as I do. I basically had to try to get the tank to leak in order to get the small amount of leakage that I got.
Cons
Of course, as with any tank, there are a few things that I was not particularly impressed with. One of these was the size of the tank.
Yes, the tank size was nice to be able to vape all day without issues but the size of the actual tank was quite large.
There are actually quite a few mods that it does not fit well on. The mods that it does not fit well on that I tried it on include the following: iStick 30W, X-Cube II, and Cool Fire IV.
There are some mods that it looks great on as well including: Innokin Disrupter, Kanger Subox, Clouper GT, iStick 50W, and Sigelei 150W. These mods are all big enough that it can fit on them easily.
Another thing that I did not like is how the tank looks. It is large and does not look very great.
The tank is plastic too which is not something that I am very fond of.
One of the things that I noticed about the plastic on this tank is that it did feel a bit flimsy.
This means that it could easily be torn up and have to be replaced more frequently than some.
(Of course, being plastic does mean that it is not going to be broken or easily shattered!)
